Looking for Clean Air Vehicles or Alternative Fuel? PDF Print E-mail

If you are looking for a new or used vehicle, here is a list of websites to go to discover which vehicles are considered the best and "greenest" available.  CVG will be updating this list as time goes by so check back in on a regular basis.

 1. The best website for locating the most current news about existing cars can be found on the United States Dept. of Energy Website: www.fueleconomy.gov.    Go there to discover how your current vehicle compares and what are the estimates for 2009 models.

2. Alternative Fuels & Advanced Vehicle Data Center has a website on the US Dept of Energy/Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy link with loads of data and lots of links to information.  Be sure and check this site out.

3.   A site at Drive Clean.CA.Gov is another site that offers a guide to clean and efficient vehicle technologies.  Not only can you search for cars, you can search of incentives and fueling stations around the state.

4. Southcoast Air Quality Managment offers a list of best choices of vehicles for 2009.

To find alternative fuel stations in the CV, Southern California and across the US, check out the following websites.  It is recommended that you double check some of these sites if traveling to unfamiliar areas so that you never get stranded at a station that is no longer in operation.

1. The US Department of Energy Alternative Fuels Data Center

2. CleanCarMaps.com

3. CNG Prices
